陈长芬摄影艺术简介

陈长芬  1941年出生于湖南衡山县；  1959年开始从事摄影；  1989年世界摄影年被美国《T l M E 》杂志评为摄影术发明150周年来世界十大摄影名人之一；  1989年10月荣获首届中国摄影艺术＂金像奖＂；  

1997年编入《世界摄影史》（美国第三版修订本）；

1999年  中国美术馆举办陈长芬《長城史诗》专题摄影展；2007年3月至8月  美国休斯敦美术博物舘举办陈长芬《长城》摄影展，此前，耶鲁大学出版陈长芬《长城》摄影画册。

Brief Introduction to the Photographic Art of Chen Changfen

Chen Changfen was born in Hengshan County, Hunan Province in 1941. He began his career in photography in 1959.

In 1989, the Year of World Photography, he was named one of the World’s Top Ten Photographers over the 150 years since the invention of photography by the American magazine TIME.

In October 1989, he was awarded the 1st China Photography Art Golden Statue Award.

In 1997, his artistic achievements were included in The History of Photography (Revised 3rd Edition, USA).

In 1999, his solo thematic exhibition Epic of the Great Wall was held at the National Art Museum of China.

From March to August 2007, his solo exhibition The Great Wall was presented at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, USA. Prior to the exhibition, Yale University published his photography album The Great Wall.
